Synopsis: |
The Enterprise encounters a rift in the space-time continuum, and a ship comes out of it. Suddenly, the time-frame alters, and the Federation is now in the middle of a war with the Klingons, one which they will lose within six months. The ship that came out of the rift was the Enterprise-C, and Picard realises that if the Enterprise-C's mission to help the Klingons on Narendra III had been a success, the war with the Klingons could have been averted. Sensing that history has been changed, Guinan persuades Picard to send the Enterprise-C back through the rift to reset history. However, before the ship returns, Tasha Yar joins their crew, as she learns from Guinan about her death in the other timeline and would prefer that her death counted for something. |
